Tithing and the Law
You are not under the Law or the Curse of the Law.

Why do so many preachers pound the pulpit telling there congregations that they are cursed with a curse if they don't pay their Tithes and Offerings?

Yes I am aware that they continually quote scripture from the Book of Malachi. Listen to me, you are not under the law or the curse of the law! Read the Book of Galatians in the New Testament. They curse you with one scripture but God has given you the entire book of Galatians to release you from this prison.

These preachers mean well but to put yourself into slavery just because someone means well is crazy. There is one scripture in the bible that says your cursed with a curse if you don't pay your tithes and offerings. It is in the book of Malachi in the Old Testament, chapter 3 if you want to read it. I will stand my ground and believe the New Testament and the Book of Galatians.

The Old Testament of the bible is God's laws and judgements, an eye for an eye, limb for limb, life for life. It is very simply God's laws and judgements, very harsh. If that is what you want for yourself then you can have it, yes you can have it by your choice.

When you are born into this world you are automatically under the Laws and Judgements of God. This is true without belief. You do not have to believe there is a God to be under his laws and judgements. Even an athiest is born under this.

But God sent his own Son as a sacrifice, to die on a cross so that you could live free! Do you believe it? Then let go of the law. You are not under the law or the curse of the law. When you choose Christ you are set free from the law and the curse of the law. It is a choice you make, to live under the new covenant of mercy rather than under the old covenant of judgement. I'll tell you something else stop judging others, let them go, live free!

There is a story in the bible. Christ was in town teaching and along comes some of the jewish scribes and pharisees. They are publically humiliating a woman, she is naked, they claim to have caught her in the act of adultery. They are taking her to stone her to death. That is what the religous Law says to do if someone is caught committing adultery. They bring her before Christ, I am sure their only intention was to defraud him, to cause him to lose credibility with the people.

They tell him that they caught her in the act of adultery and toss her at his feet. Of course where is the man that they caught her with? Probably a young priest I am sure. Think about it? What other reason would there be for them to burst into her home. She is not the only person in the land committing adultery.

So to continue they tell Christ that the law calls for her to be put to death by stoning. They want to trap him and get him to disobey the Law of Moses so they can get rid of him also. They consider the Christ to be a pest and a nuisance, a trouble maker that they could do without. So Christ looks at the woman and then at the men, and he says "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone", and if you would read from the origional text it could be translated "let him who is without this sin cast the first stone". Then Christ knelt down and began to write in the dirt with a stick. I wonder what he must have wrote because one by one each one of the men(priests) left. He then says to the woman, "woman where are you accusers?", and she says "there are none Lord", and Christ with all the compasion of the Living God says, "then neither do I accuse you". He puts a robe on her, her shows her compassion, he shows her divine love. He does not Stone her! The Law of Moses called for her to be stoned! Christ does not!!!

Are you getting the message here?

Christ died on a cross for you!
You are under mercy not judgement!

Do not minimize what Christ did for you!
You are not under the Law or the curse of the law!!!
